Prestigious Hartpury College welcomes KI’s Grafton and Strive HD chairs
Established in 1949 as an agricultural centre, Hartpury College in Gloucestershire is an Ofsted rated ‘Outstanding’ establishment. The college today teaches around 1,800 students, with a further 1,800 in the university. It is one of the UK’s leading providers of education in agriculture, animal, equine, sport and veterinary nursing.
The 360-hectare campus is home to the world’s largest equine educational facility as well as an extensive animal therapy centre and a commercial farm that supplies major retailers. As part of the ongoing improvements to the college’s facilities, a number of new robust stacking chairs with a perforated back and an upholstered seat were required. Both KI’s Grafton chair and Strive high density stacking chair met these requirements perfectly. Additionally, both chairs could be specified with a black backrest and red seat, complementing the institution's colours.
Cobus, the furniture dealer for the project, chose KI's Grafton chair because it is stackable to 8 high on the floor. This gives students more flexibility to reconfigure spaces according to their needs throughout the day. Both Grafton and Strive were also chosen because they are lightweight, cost-effective and come with a long warranty.
