KI’s new Ricochet stools designed to encourage students to wiggle & wobble
Studies have shown that physical activity improves cognitive development. Being static for prolonged periods of time can quickly lead to discomfort, which in turn leads to compromised attentiveness and retention levels. This is specifically why Ricochet was designed to encourage our natural tendency to fidget and wiggle around – a particularly important consideration when designing learning spaces for neurodiversity.
Ricochet stools support 360-degree movement, allowing the user to pivot their attention to any part of a room quickly and easily. This supports innovative learning models and encourages collaboration. The rounded, non-slip thermoplastic base is suitable for all floor types. Weighted with steel, it allows for a stable 12-degree rocking motion.
Compact and light weight, Ricochet is suitable for all ages and is available in 4 heights from 300-450mm (all 300mm diameter). Its integrated handle under the waterfall seat edge makes it easy to carry and reposition as needed. When flipped, the gently concaved top nests with the convex base to stack up to 3-high. Offered with a 15-year warranty, Ricochet is robust and exceeds BIFMA X5.1-2017 seating durability test and drop test, and has a weight rating of 400 pounds (181kg).
In stock in the UK for rapid delivery, Ricochet is available in 5 polypropylene colours from KI's iconic Postura+ range.
