The brief
Bertha Park High School in Perth, Scotland, is the first and only school in the UK to be part of the Microsoft Flagship school program. The initiative brings together like-minded leaders to design and create schools with an innovative and technologically advanced learning environment for pupils.
The school wanted a mix of bespoke furniture, and high volumes of ergonomic furniture that would match the bright and modern colours that create a practical, visually stimulating environments. Any furniture supplied would also have to fit in with the project's sustainability and longevity requirements.

Our solution
Postura+ One Piece Chairs, Postura + High Chairs and Postura+ Task Chairs: The Postura+ family has been ergonomically designed to promote good posture and to provide exceptional comfort. The extended range, available in 16 standard colours, enabled the school to keep consistency between different areas all while adding a splash of colour to keep environments stimulating.
Made in the UK from 100% recyclable high impact-resistant polypropylene and provided with a 20-year warranty, Postura+ chairs are designed to endure year the toughest classroom use. Certified to BSEN1729 parts 1 & 2, and Crib5 fire retardancy, BS EN 1022:2005 (EN5 & EN6) and BSEN 16139 – Level 2 (EN6), the chair remains the only one-piece poly chair that has been proven to outlast its warranty.
The high volumes of the Postura+ high chair that were ordered allowed the school to specify them with black frames at no extra cost. A mixture of Lime Zest, Powder Blue and Ash Grey polypropylene shells and one-piece chairs were chosen from the wide range of colours available.
