The brief

AllianceBernstein, one of the world’s leading global investment management organisations, has chosen a combination of KI’s lateral and personal storage systems for their new London Headquarters.

KI carried out a detailed storage survey of AllianceBernstein’s existing storage and made recommendations for the optimum use of space and the most efficient methods of storage and retrieval of information.

Our solution

The highly flexible 800 Series filing and storage units used, minimizes document retrieval time, maximizes space usage and stores virtually anything safely and securely. Over 400 personnel occupy floors in Devonshire House and their new premises in Berkeley Street, London, designed by Gensler to a very high specification. Cellular offices for management are built around the perimeters of the floors with all administrative and support staff in open plan workstations in the centre.

The highly flexible KI 800 Series multi-drawer storage units in silver grey are used in the open plan areas with 10mm thick low iron toughened glass tops providing a crisp aesthetic and somewhere informal to discuss matters with colleagues. Lower units are used under the windows so as not to obscure the light.

Banks of 800 Series multi-drawer and receding flipper door lateral storage units finished in white line the perimeter walls. The units are recessed snugly into feature alcoves which creates an uncluttered, bright appearance to the office and lightens the darker corridors.
